Method products and ad campaigns are usually very attractive. It's difficult to find the range of products and scents available. Even at Target it's hard to find Sweet Water. Because it's clear, it fits any decor and the smell is quite wonderful. Also, I much prefer this version to the same thing in foaming hand wash. Buying in bulk is also much more convenient, instead of depending on the whimsy of what varieties appear on the shelves.

Finally! A liquid soap without all the perfume! We had been using another brand which seems to have disappeared. Since it has been gone I have wasted so much money trying different brands, but they all left so much scent on our hands, which is just annoying for my family and a migraine trigger for me. I happened upon one lone bottle of this (Go Naked) at Target. I've used the soap a few times now and was so thrilled that it really doesn't have any perfume scent or even that 'take-your breathe-away' soap smell. I only gave it 4 stars bcause I have used soaps that seem to be less harsh/ drying. This doesn't seem bad, but perhaps a little harsher on the hands than some of the other scented brands. I'm ordering the 6 pack right now!

I have this soap in my bathroom and I absolutely love the scent. I can always tell when my husband washes his hands because I can smell the lavender when he gets near me. This is a tough but unexpectedly gentle spray cleanser that cuts my bathroom cleaning time nearly in half (100% if I don;t do it at all, but that's a different story). Method cleanser is a very welcome relief from malodorous powders that produce tiny, sneeze-inducing clouds when poured, and that require some water to work--but are also washed away by this same water when you attempt to dampen them.

Not only is it biodegrable and non-toxic, it works! You don't have to wait long, and the smell is not unpleasant. As with other products from this company, I definitely recommended it.

I love this stuff. I had always believed that my house was only truly clean when it smelled like bleach or Pine sol. The Method Products have completely cured me of that idea. I cannot believe how fresh and wondeful everything smells AND feels when I am done cleaning and I have the added bonus of eco-concious products. I have tried so many eco-green cleaners and really have only liked Mrs. Meyers, Ecover and (gasp) Clorox Green products. This product claims to clean anything from false teeth to diesel engines and it's probably true! As for its scent and harshness, the scent is a very light, quickly dissipating fragrance which reminds me of Fantastic. As for harshness, I did not wear gloves but probably should have ONLY because some of the greasy stuff went under a couple of fingernails. After normal washing and rinsing of my hands, I did not notice any dryness or irritation. I haven't tried this product on windows, so I can't comment on that, but this spray is EXCELLENT for cleaning an outdoor grill, indoor oven and baked on foodstuff inside my stainless convection microwave oven. On my misnomer self-cleaning oven, I sprayed, waited, wiped and sprayed again until it was like brand new w/ minimal use of elbow grease. AMAZING. I will be giving Simple Green and several other heavy duty cleaners away to neighbors as this IS definitely the ONLY general spray cleaner I will need to use. I also have ordered one gallon of their liquid laundry soap. It is so refreshing to find a product that is environmentally safe, made in USA (NC), and actually cleans as claimed. I hope they expand their product line in the future.

The Charlie's Sooap All Purpose Cleanser is wonderful! I initially bought it to use as a stain treater for laundry but last night I used it to wash the tub and I didn't have to scrub! I usually have to work up a sweat using vinegar and/or baking soda, but this stuff is great! More money but less time cleaning!!! I can't wait to use it for other purposes. (Oh, I also soaked my natural hemp shower curtain in it that was getting a little mildewed and it took it all out in one soak!)

I bought this tonight and it works great. It has no harsh smell at all. I used it to wip the counters tops and table and it left a nice fresh smell in the kitchen. I have this really terrible flooring that has been impossible to clean. I was amazing that this cleaner was stripping layers of wax off the flooring. I had used amonnia before to strip the wax off but the smell really bothered me. I will definitely be trying their other products.

I don't normally take the time to write reviews on my purchases...but I have to share that Mrs. Meyer's Products are truly amazing. I have tried alot of things, especially in the avenue of natural products, and these are by far the best and most effective...not to mention the frangrance is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I get compliments all the time that my house smalls clean and fresh (not chemically clean!) and that is saying alot since I have 3 active kids running around constantly determined to dirty-up the place, and smelly diapers galore! I am no cleaning maniac, thankfully so! But I do enjoy the calm and clarity of a clean home...and I get all that from these products.

I must confess, that this all-purpose cleaner takes the place of the Counter top cleaner and the Carpet Cleaner. (don't let Mrs. Meyer know I said that!) I have tried both of those and found that this one is merely the same thing...maybe just more concentrated/or diluted. I do like the spray bottles from the Counter top cleaners....but I easily refill that bottle with this All-Purpose cleaner, add alittle water and you're all set!

I also found that adding this cleaner to my steam cleaner is just wonderful. Works so well, and my carpet smells like heaven for days.

I can easily clean showers, tubs, tile, carpet, walls, counters, floors, toilets (I use the Meyers Scrub powder) and everything.....they really mean All-Purpose, indeed!

It took us a bit of time to get used to how strong the scent is on these products, but they dissipate quickly and really work well. I had been using the Clean Team Red Juice for years and saw this on sale and decided to try it, and have been very happy with it. I love this product and use it on everything. I don't have a problem with streaking. It occasionally fogs non-glass mirrors. The quick solution is to just rebuff the mirror until the fog goes away. Really a non-issue. No odors. I buy it by the case and use it on a daily basis. **NOTE: When buying by the case, one trigger is included per every two bottles. This was hard to remember at first. After a frustrating period of trial and error we finally found a product that works great and is safe and environmentally friendly.

Last fall we installed a solid Canadian ash wood floor. Ok now we needed to learn how to keep it clean and protected. Some of the initial products were too strong and we anticipated they may do more harm than good to the wood. Still others were too soapy leaving a residual film. Floor instructions warned against using soap and water. And no polish because that will quickly build up. And don't get anything with silicon.

And so about a month ago Lisa brings home this $$ 'Method' stuff. A non-toxic, non-wax formula. Safe for our children! Safe for mother earth. Biodegradale and a breeze to use.

Contrary what their label says. DO NOT SPRAY ANYTHING DIRECTLY ONTO YOUR WOOD FLOOR. Spray a good amount onto a flat floor mop. And mop with long strokes. Very easy. Dries quickly. Not streak. No stick. No need to go over it with a damp towel.

But it does have this pale baby-ish almond scent to it. Don't worry its not bad. And it dissipates in about an hour.

Watch what you use on those wood floors. Ceramic and vinyl floors can be misused. Wood needs special care to last a lifetime.... . ....Your comments welcome.

O Mop All Floor Kit Reviews

I have purchased two method O mops. I am a huge method fan and I use all of their cleaning products. So when I got an email about a mop coming out I ran to my local Target and bought one. I used it for two weeks, when the handle of the mop just snapped off. I wrote method an email letting them know what happened, with photos, and they sent me in coupons. I bought another O mop and within a month the same thing happened. Obviously there is some kind of defect in the design of the handle. It's pretty flimsy plastic and can just snap right off.

There are some big pros to the mop though. Obviously reusable mopping pads that wash out great and do a good job mopping. The floor cleaning solutions smell so yummy and clean fantastic with no residue left behind. The sweeping cloths are made from a renewable resource (corn) and are biodegradable and can even be composted. If you are looking for an environmentally friendly way to clean, it's the way to go. Plus it's non toxic and all natural so you can use it with pets and kids with no worries. I cannot say enough times how good this stuff smells either.

However, that handle snapping off problem is keeping me from buying another one. spent is enough, thanks.

Method, work on the design because overall you have a winner!

Overall, the mop accomplishes most of what the designers set out to do. The mop cleans well, is more ergonomic than a standard straight-handled mop, and is environmentally friendly. Since I compost, I especially like the corn-based dusting clothes.

That said, I think you may be better off _not_ using the cleaner. I find cleaning much easier if, before mopping, you mist the floor with just water. (Perhaps you could mist the cleaner.) Give the water a minute to dissolve the dirt, then mop. The power of the microfiber fabric is in its absorption and not scrubbing, so what you want to do is soak up the loosened dirt. The water also lubricates the passage of the mop, so it takes very little effort. Note that, if you have hardened globs of food on the floor, you will have to scrape them off. Yet, that was also the case with the Hoover Floormate (Hoover H3044 FloorMate SpinScrub WidePath Hard Floor Cleaner) despite the whirling brushes and deafening sound. I use the fake credit cards that arrive with credit card solicitations for scrapping.

Why not 5 stars? While cheaper than other microfiber mops, it remains a bit expensive. Also, I think the prose in the instructions could have been more explanatory. Instead of tips on the best way to clean, it yammers on about loving your floors and--I am not making this up--the correct posture for when you eat off them. Yeesh, I've got mopping to do.

I decided that since I've been telling all my friends and family about this product, and because I find reviews on Amazon to be so helpful, I should add a review here. Everyone should buy Mrs. Meyers all purpose cleaner! I recently discovered this line of cleaning products and have become obsessed. They smell SO good! They make me actually enjoy cleaning! My favorite scents are this one (basil) and geranium. I also like the lavender. So I'd recommend the whole line, but my favorite is the all purpose cleaner for sure (and I'm torn between basil and geranium, so I buy both). Besides smelling better than anything in the whole world, this stuff is versatile and a good deal. It looks expensive, but when you see how little you actually need to use, you realize it's relatively inexpensive. My favorite uses for this product are mopping and counter-cleaning. Mrs. Meyers also makes a surface cleaner, but they even say on their website that to make your own surface-cleaner, you can just add a bit of all purpose cleaner to warm water. So I do that. This is why the stuff lasts so long. I bought two bottles a few months ago, and I still have most of the bottles left. And I've even given some away! Another way I use this product is mixing a few spoonfuls with a spray bottle full of water (like for the surface cleaner) and then spraying it over a sprinkling of baking soda on the carpet before vacuuming. I am a housekeeper and this is the one producted all my homeowners want. It smells Great! Cleans unbelievable well! And no harsh chemicals.

What I do is take a gallon jug and fill it with water then add about a 1/4 cups of Mrs. Meyers. Then take a spray bottle and fill it up and your ready to go on a cleaning binge. The smell is not over powering. And during the winter it makes it so pleseant to be cleaning because of the scent. This stuff is also great on floors. I have seen many of sticky dirt floors and Mrs. Meyers has no issues with it.

I've been using Mrs. Meyers products for about a year now. I started because most supermarket cleaning supplies bothered my husband's asthma, and I was intrigued with the beautiful scents. I've been using several of the different scents and all work very well but I think the lavendar scent is my favorite. I wasn't sure how well it would work, but its been as good as anything else for kitchen, bath, everywhere-- and it doesn't have any chemicals to dry out my hands or to leave a strong smell. I don't worry about it's damaging anything because it's so mild and natural.

The bottle says it smells like Ylang Ylang. Now I personally have never seen, touched, or otherwise experienced a ylang ylang plant but if I were to imagine what it would look like based on the smell of this shower spray I'd guess it crawled on all fours and wears a diaper. I'm not sure what it is, but something about this scent reminds me of a baby or a nursery.

Beyond the odd scent, it works rather well. I started with a clean shower and used the product after after shower, misting the walls and curtain. The curtain has remained mildew and residue free as well as most of the tub, and the faucet and other chrome fixtures have remained shiny and clean much longer than normal.

I also appreciate that I'm not filling my bathroom with chemical fumes every day.

Okay so first things first, what the heck is "Ylang Ylang"?

Here's a couple of excerpts from Wikipedia(free online encyclopedia)

"Ylang-ylang ) (ee-lahng ee-lahng) Cananga odorata, is a small but beautiful flower of the Canaga tree. It is a fast-growing tree that exceeds 5 meters per year and attains an average height of 12 meters. It grows in full or partial sun, and prefers the acidic soils of its native rainforest habitat. The leaves are long, smooth and glossy and prefers the acidic soils of its native rainforest habitat. The flower is greenish yellow (rarely pink), curly like a starfish, and yields a highly fragrant essential oil. ......The fragrance of ylang-ylang is rich and deep with notes of rubber and custard, and bright with hints of jasmine and neroli."(Another one we may have to look yp)

Maybe someday technology will be so advanced that there will be some sort of scratch and sniff so we could smell the product being sold(wasn't there some sort of aroma cinema back in the 60's?), in the meantime these customer reviews will have to help you make up your mind. Of course, if you find it in a store you can sneak a sniff. Some people like it and some don't.I am one of those who like it very much. To me it is a slightly sweet, distinctive but gentle scent, that makes the bathroom smell fresh and clean, flowery, but I did not find it overpowering. In any case way better then any of those scented sprays that are meant to cover up odor, but usually wind up choking me, and it is a big improvement on the harsh shower sprays.

How does it work?....It works wonderfully. I have a small bathroom with for what it's worth a fan, but no window. I have been using this product for more then a year, have never had one problem with mold, mildew, soap scum or any other hard to clean gunk anywhere including the bath mat, shower curtain and liner. I have never had to scrub at all and my tub stays really clean,cutting back on regular cleansing. Other people in my apartment building have not been so lucky.

I also like that all the ingredients are biodegradable, naturally derived and never tested on animals.

Ingredients:purified water, scale removers, soap scum dissolver(plant derived),naturally derived surfactant(corn),performance enhancer(natural minerals),fragrance oils, preservative(less than 0.1%).

I'm guessing the fragrance oils is where the Ylang Ylang comes in, and I hope I've gotten them all right. The writing on the label was a little small for my eyes.

The spray bottle can be used as a fine mist, or direct squirt, which will probably be helpful in dissolving old stuff already there. I spray the mist all over,including directly onto my curtain and liner, and don't have to run for cover knowing that the ingredients are safe, and don't make me gag. The product s clear and colorless.

My advice would be to try just one bottle, before investing in this case if you are concerned you may not like the scent. Right now I did find it available here at Method Daily Shower Cleaner, Ylang Ylang Scent, 28 fl oz. But I have to say, this multi-pack is a really good deal.

I enjoy many of the Method brand line of household cleaners as well as their line of personal products, I especially like the shower gelmethod Body Wash, Mango Mint, Case Pack, Six - 15 Ounce Bottles (90 Ounces), even though I have to use a little more to make a good lather. Once again, my wife has cleaned the shower with Mrs. Meyers Clean Day, Cleaner Shower Lavender and she forgot to warn me. For the last five or six years, I've been using Tilex (or generic versions of it) as our daily shower cleaner. I've been meaning to switch over to a more natural brand -- and I'm loving this Mrs. Meyer's version!

I've only been using this for a bit under three weeks, but it leaves the shower even cleaner than the Tilex version. Before, I'd been getting red moldy areas in our grout that I would have to clean with a stronger cleaner on a weekly basis, but since I've been using this daily cleaner, those areas have almost disappeared!

The scent of this is also lovely; it's a *natural* lavender scent, and smells so nice. I've used Method's daily shower cleaner in the past (which is another environmentally-friendly brand I love), but did not like the smell of that one at all.

It's nice to use more environmentally-friendly cleaners, and to know that the smells you're breathing in don't come from nasty chemicals, but rather essential oils and ingredients that are safe to inhale. This shower spray is OK but only just. Two major faults. 1. The hose is quite rigid and does not hang well. A better hose would be more flexible and heavier such as the type that is rubber with a spiral metal exterior. 2. The hose does not fit the bracket snugly and, unless jammed into place which will surely cause failure over time, tends to fall off the bracket spontaneously. The bracket is also designed to be screwed to the shower wall, which is not a good idea since anything penetrating a wet surface will likely cause leakage. A better solution would be to have the bracket designed so that it can be adhered to the wall with an epoxy or similar adhesive. I would recommend this for temporary use, but if you want a permanent installation, buy something that has been more thoughtfully engineered. Note that this identical unit is sold under many different name brands. JAC

I own a cleaning company, and I use as much Method stuff as possible (see review of tub & tile cleaner). I do LOVE this glass cleaner. If you're getting any streaks, use a microfiber cloth (the glass-specific one Method makes is great also) or, even better, a coffee filter. I've never tried using this with a paper towel or anything else, so maybe that's where the streaking comes into play. I love the minty smell, and so do my customers.

I have to say, the best thing ever to clean glass is plain, ol rubbing alcohol and paper towels, but the smell isn't that attractive (even though it is completely streak free and very cost-effective). Sometimes I will clean with the alcohol and then run over it quickly with a microfiber cloth sprayed with this Method cleaner so it smells great.

After trying many Method products, I've come to realize that some are so-so while others are fantastic. The Method Window Wash Glass and Surface Cleaner falls under the 'fantastic' category.
